Boil potatoes, dram, and
add chopped eggs and
chicory. Fry bacon and
onion until brown. Drain
before adding to potatoes.
Add bacon fat slowly to
beaten egg and mix well.
Add vinegar and salt and
pour mixture over potatoes
Mix lightly and serve hot
Serves 6 people.

over 600 lbs. fully steady; steers under 600
lbs. steady to $l.OO lower. Feeder heifers
and heifer calves $2.00-53.00 lower. Mod
erate to good demand for steers. Fair
demand for heifers. Light run this holiday
shortened marketing week; lack of load lot
availability had an effect on outlets. Qual
ity ran plain to attractive with large percen
tage plain to average. Weigh ups average.
Slightly thin through slightly fleshy cover
ing on majority. Slaughter cows, Breakers
$l.OO lower; Canner through Boning Utili
ty $ 50- $1 00 higher. Demand good for
dun cows, moderate for fat cows. Slaugh
ter bulls $l.OO lower. Receipts this week
2,400, last week 8,743; last year 8,746.
Supply consisted of 52% yearlings over
600 lbs.; 34% calves; 14% cows and bulls.
