cTa/im Societies Y Berks Society 4 The rainy weather did not dam pen the spirits of Berks County Society of Farm Women Group 4, as they traveled to Loysville, Per ry County, for their August meet ing. A day of fun was held at the home of Verna and Charles Taylor. A thank you note was received from Group 2 for their 40th anniversary gifts. Plans for the Berks Society 6 Mary Jane McClennan, a repre sentative from the Berks Co. Of fice of Aging, spoke to the nine members present of the Berks Co. Society of Farm Women Group #6, on Alzheimers Disease. The August meeting was held in the home of Naomi Mest, R.D.#2 Oley. Jennifer Guldin and Marian Gehris were installed as new members. HONEY PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH SPREAD 'A cup peanut butter % cup shredded carrots 'A cup plain yogurt 2 tablespoons alfalfa honey 8 slices whole wheat bread Combine peanut butter, 'A cup shredded carrots, yogurt and hon ey. Mix well. Spread mixture on 4 slices bread. Cover with remaining bread. Cut each sandwich into 4 triangles. Dip cut edges lightly in remaining shredded carrots. Yield: 4 servings. committee.
