National Brown Swiss Salutes Outstanding Production
BELOIT, Wis. The National
Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders’
Association recently recognized
outstanding protein production
records of several cows in Pen
nsylvania, New York and Ohio.
In the Keystone state, two cows
owned by Gary Mase, of Lebanon,
received recognition for producing
more than 900 pounds of protein
during a lactation in excess of 305
days.
Blessing Simon Jacinda. pro
duced 26,900 pounds of milk, 935
pounds of fat and 944 pounds of
protein during a lactation which
started when she freshened at 3
years, 9 months old.
Mase’s other high producer was
Meadow Hill Performer Chrissy,
with a record of 28,270 pounds of
milk, 1,224 pounds of fat and 989
pounds of protein on a lactation
