Attend The Solanco Fair
Homemade chicken com soup
may be the most celebrated reason
to visit the Southern Lancaster
County Community Fair. But fun
nel cakes and beef barbecues can
hold their own at Quarryvillc’s
smorgasbord of fair food.
No midway clutters the fair
grounds, only dozens of food
stands assaulting taste buds from
miles away.
Even the fair committee gets in
on the act, serving lunches and
dinners in the Hoffman Communi
ty Building. Wednesday’s special
will be chicken pot pie; Thurs
day’s lunch will be beef slew, fol

on Friday. Hot roast beef sand
wiches will also be served.
Visitors making it past all the
food will find an impressive array
of farm equipment displayed, and
