Great Plains Solid Stand no-till
drills have the planting accuracy
drilled soybeans need;
(1) Depth-Gauging Press Wheels
keep the opener from penetrating
too deep; planting depth can be
quickly changed with exclusive
dial-a-depth adjustment system.
(2) The spring-loaded coulters
offer up to 400 lbs. per row of
down-pressure, ensuring that they
open a groove in even the tough
est residue and soil. Each coulter
is integrated with its opener and
press wheel arm so that coulters
and openers are close enough for
good tracking but separated to
allow good trash flow.
(3) A spring steel mountin;
allows the entire planting system
to flex with the terrain, for even
more flexibility for the coulter and
opener assembly.
(4) The double-disk 01
coulters flex independently to
pass over stones easily. A sturdy
down-pressure spring with 56 lbs,
of pressure per inch holds the
opener firmly in the groove.

THE NO-TILL DRILL
THAT WORKS
Here’s why:
The end wheel-opener align-
ment means that the openers
neither gouge the soil nor leave
the ground when traversing rolling
ground; they simply follow the
terrain right with the end wheels.
The end wheels also act as stabil
izers to hold the openers steady
when seeding on slopes. By keep
ing the ground-working com-
ponents well protected within the
profile of the end wheels, the
operating costs are low on our
Solid Stand No-Till Drill,
Their versatility, their residue
clearance, and their compact
design make these drills a natural
choice. Their narrow widths make
them perfect for narrow roads
and gates.
Even with all these outstanding
no-till capabilities, these drills are
well-suited to conventional seed
ing as well. And of course they
have the same great opener and
press wheel system offered by all
Great Plains Solid Stand drills.
