Delmarva
Broiler/Fryer Market
Wednesday, May 13, 1992
Movement of ready-to-cook whole birds
remained good; supplies were adequate to
short on the lighter weight sizes. Less than
tmcklot asking prices continued to trend
higher at 55 to 65 cents. Live supplies were
moderate overall; weights were desirable
to mostly heavy. Processing schedules
were heavy. The undertone was firm to
higher. In the part complex, whole breasts
were short and boneless skinless were in
tight supply. Leg quarters were in active
demand and firmly held. Boneless thighs
were in good demand. Other parts were
about adequate with wings in the heaviest
position.

Wednesday, May 13, 1992
Trucklot buying interest continued very
good. Boneless skinless breasts were short
of covering immediate needs. Trading was
a solid 2.20 with some product booked at
2.23 - 2.25. Line run breasts were extreme
ly tight and most buyers could not locate
necessary supplies for current needs.
Prices trended higher. Demand for yellow
skin leg quarters for late week and for next
week needs was good and improving. Pro
duct booked this morning was at 23 - 24
cents. Buyer interest in wings improved
over prior week, but product was available
and a push to clear the market at steady
prices.
