HARRISBURG (Dauphin
Co.) The U.S. Department of
Agriculture’s Commodity Credit
Corporation recently announced
its county loan and purchase rates
for die 1992 crops of wheat, bar
ley, oats and rye.
The county price support rates
were determined in accordance
with the Agricultural Act of 1949
and reflect changes in national
average price support rates. Some
county rates woe adjusted to relect
location and transportation costs.
For Pennsylvania, the price for a
bushel of oats is at $1.05, rye at
$1.63, and, except for Lancaster
County, barley was set at $ 1 29 per
bushel. In Lancaster, the rate for
barley is $1.39.
