My husband and I took a 10-day
trip South last month. We visited
children in Georgia and a child in
Virginia. And, it happened that a
fourth child was in the area too.
So, we had a nice Easter together.
The long auto trip is not to my
liking but it is a necessary part of
the vacation. There are so many
preparations prior to the trip. To
take summer clothes or not? Their
peas are already blooming and
mine are just coming up.
Who will tend our cats espe
cially now that we have four kit
tens? They were bom in a very
big, deep cardboard box and were
five weeks old before they man-

As I love to bake, I make differ
ent kinds of cakes several times a
week. Then I share some with our
son and his family. As my hus
band buys apples by the half
bushel, they are often one ingredi
ent in the cakes.
We’ve had our new lawn land
scaped by a professional service.
There arc two big maple trees in
the front yard and a lot of shrub
bery in the comers and around
some big rocks. I had already put
in lilies, peonies, and other peren

description about farms that ac
commodate tourists.

and hiking, horseback riding and
pony rides, volleyball and horse-
moved and some of them were
destroyed by their rototiller.
Soon I will have fresh cut flow

Sunday some visitors were im
pressed by a bouquet of big, white
daffodils and blue hyacinths in a
green vase. I do like to wdrk with
flowers.
