The Northwestern Pennsylvania
4-H Camps are open to all boys
and girls between 8 and IS years
of age who are 4-H members in
Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford,
Erie, Forest, Jefferson, Lawrence,
Mercer, Venango or Warren
Counties.
Two separate camping sessions
are offered at Camp Custologa
Town, a 500-acre camp located
near Carlton, between Meadville
and Franklin.
The first is senior Camp, to be
held June 15-19 for ages 12-15.
William Hosier, Mercer County
extension agent, is the senior
Camp director.
The second is junior Camp, to
be held June 20-24 for ages 8-11.
Sanford S. Smith, Warren County
extension agent, is the junior
Camp director.

fields, archery and riflery ranges,
and tenting areas.
All campers will be housed in
tents furnished with two bunks.
Campers should bring an air mat
tress or pad to place on top of
bedsprings.
In addition to the directors, the
camp staff includes 4-H leaders,
extension staff, a registered nurse,
and qualified lifeguards. Teen
aged 4-H members who have
received training will serve as
counselors.
Those from Warren County
who qualify as junior Camp
counselors are Trade Baker of
Grand Valley, Andy VanOrd of
Russell, and Mark Lauffenburger
and Chris Carlson of Warren.
Counselors are chosen for their
leadership abilities and theirabili
ty to work well with both their
peers and younger children.
Anyone wishing to attend, or
those who want more information,
should contact their local exten
sion office. The deadline for
registration is May 29.
