The first bull entering the ring for Auctioneer Mike Jones of West Point, Georgia, was a Here ford. Of the 14 Herefords sold, the highest one went to Sire Power, Inc. for $2,600. The Hereford herd averaged $1,429 per bull with indexes ranging from 96 to 117. Sold from high index to low within each breed, a change of breed in the showring usually meant new buyers and prices.
