GLANCE: Prices were unchanged. The
market lone was steady. Demand was
mostly moderate, occasionally better
where featured. Supplies were adequate in
all areas. Breaking stock sold at steady
prices, and demand was light to moderate.
Live hen offerings remained mixed, and
were adequate to heavy in the Central
States, and short to adequate in the East
and South.

MARKET. FEDERAL-STATE. Move
ment of ready-to-cook whole broiler fryers
was light to fair. Supplies of whole birds
were fully adequate to ample with spot dis
counting noted to clear some stocks. Less
than tracklot asking prices were unchanged
at ***46 to 57 cents.*** Live supplies
were moderate; weights were generally
desirable. Trade sentiment was about
steady. In the parts complex, demand was
light and selective. Leg quarters continued
in heaviest supply. Other items were irre
gularly balanced for the generally unag
gressive buying interest.
