The president of a Seneca Falls, N.Y.-based dairy pricing organiza tion has written to the U.S. Secret ary of Agriculture in an effort to eliminate a new pricing catagory for milk in two federal milk orders. Edward D. In addition, Anna said the implementation of a Class lIIA price for milk utilized in the manu facture of non-fat dry milk powder will lower the blend price now paid to the dairy farmers in the orders that adopt this measure. Milk used to manufacture non fat, dry milk powder is currently assigned to Class II which yields a higher return to the dairy farmer. Anna said, "If the industry is going to have a milk price that is tied to the consumer/commodity prices like this new Class lIIA price, then it should apply to the entire country, not a few selected orders."
