state members.”
Adams County has two societies

form a new group this year. The
southern and western end of
Adams County is not represented

Through other agricultural

She added, “Think positive, talk
things over, be able to see the other
person’s point of view, and appre
ciate others.”
The Caskeys have 9 children, 29
grandchildren, and 19 great grand
children. Having so many family
members have enabled the
Caskeys “to see a lot of answers to
prayer. I know that God answers
prayer if you just turn it over to
Him,” Dorothy said. “We waited
16 years for one prayer *to be
answered.”
Dorothy and her husband John
farmed until 16 years ago. They
now live on a comer of the firm
that was turned into a fruit farm by
the new owners. This is the first
year that Dorothy has retired from
packing fresh' fruit for 19 years.
She enjoys making crafts. With her
husband, Dorothy enjoys a lot of
camping in their motor home. This
past year, they camped on the
to visit a daughter in Kentucky and
another in Michigan.
Most of her activities involved
church work and Farm Women
meetings.
“Farm Women are always look
ing for ways to help the needy in
our area,” Dorothy said.
The group makes peanut butter
and coconut eggs to sell at bazaars.
They hold an annual hoagie sale
and some personal money raisers.
One of these was a calendar for
Farm Women members. Each day
on the calendar was marked with

Although the calendar proceeds
were not huge, members thought it
