This year’s featured speaker is Jerry A. Carlson. Senior editor of “Professional Farmers of Ameri ca” and editor of “LandOwncr” newsletter, Carlson holds a mas ters degree in economics and jour nalism from lowa State University. Previously a managing editor at “Farm Journal,” Carlson cofounded “Professional Fanners of America” with Merrill Os ter in 1972, which offers a vast array of news and market services to the nation’s farmers. Carlson, his wife Jill, and their three children operate a 160-acre farm, where they conduct scientif ic field trials to develop profitable, environmentally safe concepts.
