Cumberland County Dairy Herd Improvement records show that
6,628 cows in 95 herds were on production testing in November. Of
the 87 official programs, 60 herds had an average protein production
of over 550 pounds. During the month 195 cows completed their 305
lactation with 600 lbs. or more of protein.
