For New Fruit Variety
KF.ARNEYSVILLI.i. W.Va. _
“Variety” is cunently a domin
ant factor in apple marketing suc
cess. In place of Delicious, chain
stores are now featuring varieties
about which we know very little,
such as Gala, Fuji, and Braebum.
Do we jump on the bandwagon
andplantoneof the new hot variet
ies or do we search for new variet
ies which have the potential to give
our region a market advantage?
There are no simple answers, but it
is evident that we need to expand
