calf exhibited by Susan Curtis,
Patrick Gemni Christina SSF.
Ayrshire Show
The Dale Maulfair family,
Jonestown, was the big winner in
the Ayrshire competition, taking
grand and reserve champion hon
ors and sweeping both premier
breeder and exhibitor awards as
well.
Their homebred four-year-old,
Maulfair Acres Barry Ginny, got
the judge’s nod for the senior and
grand champion title, besting her
reserve placing at last year’s
show. As a three-year-old, she
produced a milk record of over
17,700 pounds.
Her herdmate and runnerup in
the four-year class, Maulfair
Acres Larry Jessica, earned the
reserve champion honors for the
Lebanon County Ayrshire herd.
The Maulfair family has shown at
the Farm Show for nearly 20
years.
Junior champion ribbons went
to Jessica Lori, Scottdale, with her
intermediate yearling Shiredalc
Roger’s Chelsea. The Westmore
land County young woman also
look the youth .division junior
champion title. Reserve open class
junior champion was Plum Bot
tom Ncl BB ET, the second place
intermediate yearling exhibited by
John Rodgers, Belleville.
Youth division grand and
reserve champions both went to
Mary Ellen Dcaven, Newburg.
Laneway Amigo Lovely, a thrcc
ycar-old, was named champion,
over Toll-Gate Ayr Magic Kittic.
Reserve junior champion was the
winning senior yearling,
Wcntworth-Farm Bcnf Melanie,
exhibited by Richard Marlin,
Chambcrsburg.
Brown Swiss
Brown Swiss senior placings
were swept by the James Kennedy
family of Butler. Their 11-hcad
string walked off with grand and
reserve champions, youth champ
ion, and both the premier breeder
and exhibitor honors.
Four Seasons Tclstar Tango.
Jason Kennedy’s homebred five
year-old, topped all contenders to
snag tjhc open class champion
honors. Tango is 2E, with four
records over 20,000 pounds, fin
ishing her four-year-old 365-day
lactation with 21,890 milk and
890 fat. She was the 1991 junior
Pennsylvania Bellringer aged cow
and took national junior Bellringer
honors the previous year.

exhibiting the junior yearling
Wind Mill Jack Renee. Reserve
junior winner was Richard Love’s
intermediate yearling, Love-
Haven Freezy Sage.
Milking Shorthorn
Veteran Farm Show exhibitors,
the James Young family of New
villc handily swept most placing*
in the Milking Shorthorn competi
tion, including both open class and
youth division grand and reserve
championships. Both premier
breeder and exhibitor banners also
went home with the Cumberland
countians’ Three Springs show
string.
Champion honors were claimed
by the Young’s Five-year-old dry
entry. Three Springs Cherry.
Cherry remains unbeaten in her
class in her showring career and
finished her last lactation with a
15,000 pound milk record.
