"The officials at both depart ments develop many of the regula tions and procedures which the farming community follows," said Steve Robinson, past chair of the committee. "This meeting will give farmers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with some of these officials and ask them questions." Deputy Secretary Caren Glot fclty from DER and Deputy Sec retary Walter Peetchalka from PDA will be on hand to answer questions. Other speakers and top ics will include: Roger Fickes, chief of the Division of Rivers and Wetlands Conservation, on wet lands; Personnel from Bureau of Waste Management on compost residual waste regulations; and Deputy Sec. Glotfelty on ground water protection strategy. The Agricultural Advisory Committee advises both DER and the Department of Agriculture on regulations and policies affecting the farming community.
