This is an excellent alternative to explore.” A program on pasture manage ment will be held during the three day event as. well, says Myers. Thomas Calvert, Area Agronom ist with SCS in Somerset County, will discuss intensive rotational Ag Progress grazing systems, including pad dock size, fencing selection, watering equipment as well as vegetation. He will also give tips on such topics as matching live stock to acres of available pasture. Calvert will cover information for both the beginner and the advanced farmer. The workshop will be held 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily. An additional one will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednes day only.
