The market tone was steady to firm. Demand continued moderate to very good, mostly fairly good. Supplies were short to adequate with the large sizes in closest balance. Additional offerings were light, and usually sold rapidly when offered. Breakers provided a mixed demand for shell eggs, and some plants limited shell egg receipts to previous com mitments only while others aggressively sought breaking stocks. Live hen markets were also mixed from steady in the Mid west and Northeast to often fully steady in the Southeast and South Central areas.
