This year Field Day will be held at the Spring Wood Farm, owned and oper
ated by the Roman Stoltzfoos family, located near Gap, PA. From the famous
Gap town clock, turn off Route 41 onto Route 741. Cross the Railroad Bridge and
turn left on to Mine Road. Go approximately 200 yards and turn left onto Gap
Road, the farm is approximately 2 miles farther on your left.
Both days, Monday and Tuesday, will begin at 10:00 am with lectured field
tours around the farm’s test plot areas. The lectures for these tours will be con
ducted by Dr. Dan Skow and Arden Anderson.
A chicken Bar-B-Que dinner will be served each day at 12:00 Noon to ticket
holders. Tickets are on sale until July 20th and must be bought in advance. Call
717-354-8579 for tickets. This will ensure that there will be enough chicken for
ticket holders. The cost per person is $lO.OO. A two-day ticket may be purchased
for $16.00. The same person must use the two-day ticket each day. The two-day
ticket ensures a chicken dinner both days.
On Monday at 1:30 PM, Mr. Anderson will be the main speaker for the after
noon. A light snack stand will be available after the speaker. The stand will have
snacks and drinks all individually priced.
Monday evening will begin at 7:00 PM and will feature Dr. Dan Skow as the
main speaker. He will speak until approximately 9:00 PM.
Tuesday, July 23rd will begin with the field trip followed by the noon chicken
Bar-B-Que.
At 1:30 PM, Dr. Dan Skow will be the featured speaker. A light snack will be
available following the lecture.
The evening program will begin at 7:00 PM and will feature Arden Anderson
as the speaker. A question and Answer session will follow Mr. Anderson. Both
Dr. Skow and Mr. Anderson will be available to answer your questions.
We also have Dr. Joel Wallach, BS. DVM. ND. with us for our two Field Days.
As a Veterinarian and Physician, Dr. Wallach learned to work close to nature
with animals and also learned much about their nutritional deficiencies. After
learning that nutrition prevented diseases in animals, he decided to apply his
knowledge to human beings and earned his Naturopathic Physician from the
National College, Portland, Oregon.
Today, Dr. Wallach is President of Eagle International and travels all over the
country giving product lectures and health seminars. Dr. Wallach is best known
for his work in trace minerals and castrophic diseases.
Dr. Joel Wallach will have a stand at our Field Days and will be available for
questions and nutritional information. Please feel free to stop by.
July 20, f 991 at 1:30 PM, Dr. Joel Wallach will be at the Harvest Drive
Restaurant, south ofßt. 340, west of Intercourse, PA. lecturing on Nutritional
information and product knowledge. Please plan to attend. There is no admis
sion fee.

Arden Anderson, B.SJ^hD
Arden B. Anderson grew up on a
daily farm in Michigan. He holds a
B.S. degree in Agriculture from the
University of Arizona, and a Ph.D. in
biophysics from Clayton University,
St. Louis, Missouri. He is a former
vocational agricultural instructor. He
has worked and studied personally
with Dr. Carey Reams, Dr. Dan Skow
and Dr. Philip Callahan. He is the
author of THE ANATOMY OF LIFE
AND ENERGIES IN
AGRICULTURE.

announced a new service,
designed to watch sources of
recycled newspapers with poten
tial farm users. Working with the
Cooperative Extension Service
and the Lancaster Co. Solid Waste
Management Authority, initial
plans are to act as a simple clear
inghouse or “watchup” service
between individuals or groups
seeking an outlet for paper and
farmers in need of a supply. As the
list develops it is hoped to sort the
names by locality and possibly
coordinate secheduled dropoff/
