The Shoemaker’s Orchards at Ml Bethel, Pa. have a panoramic view of New Jersey and of Pa. There were 115 registered bidders at the sale. Five of the six land tracts offered for sale were sold for $723,000 and they included 438 acres. The property included a bulk bam storage bam, cider press building, house that was former schoolhouse, 4 Don Robinson, vo-ag instructor who chain the annual field tour, said the event is run to give dealers some answers to many of the ques tions they are asked by farmers. “By bringing them here,'we multi ply our effectiveness in teaching,” Robinson said. “We show them weeds and what is controlled and not controlled by different herbi cide families. We show insect damage and the new products on the market. We also look at equip ment to safely introduce the pesti cides into a sprayer.
