The meeting was called to order by Mark Tracy, president It was announced that there will be a carcass lamb show along with the roundup on Thursday, August 8, at the Solanco Fairgrounds. All interested members were asked to sign up for this show. Members were also informed about some up-coming sales to buy project lambs. The program for the evening was “Project Lamb Selection.” Leader Gerald Tracy gave a demonstration with live lambs on what to lode for when choosing project lambs, both market and breeding. The lambs used repre sented the Dorset, Suffolk, Hamp shire, and Polypay breeds. Lancaster County 4-H Production Club At the recent reorganizational meeting of the Lancaster County 4-H Horse Production Club, offic ers were elected and the yearly calendar was established. Renamed president for the third year in a row was Alison Farring ton, Lititz. Kim Kettering, Man heim, was voted vice president, and secretary is Heidi Rainville, Rising Sun, Md. News reporters for the club are Kerra Allen and Giovana Grumelli, and Kerra Allen and Lyndsy Holton are in charge of the club scrapbook. Adams County Cooperative Extension recently announced that the position of 4-H assistant for the summer of 1991 will be filled by Karl L. Tyson, son of Jared and Peggy Tyson of New Oxford, Pa. Karl began his duties as 4-H assistant on May 13,1991 and will continue with extension through August 3, 1991.
