Hopewell Horse Center, Lititz.

4-H’ers Model
At Trade Show
Five York County 4-H members
modeled the outfits they made in a
fashion show at the Creative Festi
val in Valley Forge on Sunday,
May 19.
They were among the 45
4-H’ers from southeastern Pen
nsylvania to participate in the fash
ion show. The 4-H models were
Jessica Price, Davidsburg 4-H
Club; Jana Lamberson, Davids
burg 4-H Club; Nichole Koons,
Airville 4-H Club; Samantha
Koons, Airville 4-H Club; and
Tanya Thoman, Loganville 4-H
Club.
The Creative Festival was a
trade show for sewing, quilting,
needlework, and craft enthusiasts.
4-H Swine Club
The Lancaster Co. 4-H Swine
Club met on May 14 at 7:30 p.m.,
at the Farm and Home Center.
Jeff Eyer was introduced to the
club as a new leader. He will be
helping in the Solanco area. Chet
Hughes explained the new project
books.
The next meeting will be held at
West Lampeter Fairgrounds. The
Lancaster Co. 4-H Swine Club
will be joining the Lancaster Co.
4-H Woolies Club and the Lancas
ter Co. 4-H Beef Club in an ice
cream and recreational social,
June S beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Dave has worked to improve his
mechanics skills. This year Dave,
together with Jody Brown, won the
Adams County small gas engines
contest and went on to defeat
teams from York and Franklin
counties to earn the right to partici
pate in the state contest during
FFA week at Penn State in June.

members from across the state who
participated in the citizenship
awareness event
While in Harrisburg, they
received a guided tour of the State
Capitol Building and the Gover
nor’s Mansion, visited local legi
slators in their offices, and partici
pated in educational workshops
geared to increase their under
standing of the legislative process.
Ed Arnold was the guest of the
county delegation at a legislative
breakfast 4-H members and law
makers discussed local issues and
defined the puipose of the 4-H
educational youth program.
Flea market and craft vendors
are wanted for Carroll County 4-H
and FFA Fair on Sunday. July 28,
1991, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or
