This year's couple will travel to San Antonio. Texas, on Sept 10-11. The Briggs Memorial Award was established in 1983 following the untimely death of Leo Briggs. Mr. Briggs was a dairy industry leader both regionally and nation ally, heavily involved in milk promotion and the cooperative effort. The goal of this memorial in his honor is to encourage interest and involvement in dairy promotion among young farm families. To qualify for the award, nomi nees must be a member of a dairy cooperative. In order to apply, a letter of sup port must be submitted by the applicant's cooperative.
