GLANCE: Prices were unchanged to lower
on mediums in the Mid-Atlantic area, and
the Midwest, unchanged on the balance.
The market tone was steady to weak with
mediums in the weakest position, and
extra-large occasionally fully adequate
where supplies remained short. Demand
was irregular, and continued mostly mod
erate. Retail features were scattered, and
did enhance cartoned movement where
present. Supplies of extra-large were short
to adequate, large were adequate to fully
adequate, and mediums were adequate to
ample with some surplus moved to the
breakers Most breakers worked full sche
dules using shell egg inventories and regu
lar commitments Live hen markets were
barely steady to weak
