Movement of ready-to-cook broiler
fryers was light to fair today. Supplies
were adequate to fully adequate. Less than
trucklot asking prices were steady at 47 -
57 cents. Live supplies were fully adequ
ate, with average live weights ranging
desirable to heavy. Processing schedules
were heavy. Trade sentiment was general
ly steady. In the parts complex, supplies of
wings, boneless skinless breast and leg
quarters were adequate, whole breast were
in good balance, legs were adequate to ful
ly adequate.

Prices were unchanged. The market tone
was mostly steady to instances fully
steady. Demand remained mostly mod
erate in a wide range, best where featured,
and where improvement was noted for the
Memorial Day weekend. Supplies were
adequate except jumbo and extra-large
were often short and sought. Offerings to
breakers were generally adequate, and
some plants planned reduced holiday sche
dules. Live hen offerings were at least
adequate for the unaggressive demand, and
the undertone was steady to weak, mostly
barely steady.

Trucklot buying interest was light to fair
at best and centered mainly on limited sup
plies of yellow whole breasts. Supplies of
white were fully adequate. Boneless skin
less breasts were in fairly good balance at
unchanged prices. Leg items were more
available than earlier and several dealers
noted heavy floor stocks and little interest
in additional offerings, particularly at cur
rent asking prices. Wings were also less
difficult to locale and at least adequate.
Giblets were adequate to fully adequate
