ditioner rolls in heavy crop conditions either
Should crop slugs feed into the rolls, a unique
eccentric linkage on the roll pressure spring
assembly permits the rolls to temporarily sepa
rate allowing the slug to pass through The
rolls then automatically return to the preset roll
pressure
Outstanding vertical and radial flotation
ensure the header hugs the ground through
every contour Yet adjustment has never been
easier Each wheel assembly on the 8340 is
equipped with flotation springs that are easily
accessible for initial adjustment Further ad
justment can be achieved when cutting height
changes are made at the skid shoes by simply
inserting stop collars on the master and slave
cylinders

deluxe machine haven't been left out, either
Like an easy access compartment built into
the frame so you can keep an extra sickle on

is hydraulically positioned from the tractor
seat so you can switch from field to road
position in seconds Plus it lets you steer
around field obstacles without driving over
adjacent windrows
Plenty of crop gathering capacity begins
with a low-maintenance sickle that runs at a
fast smooth 1700 stokes-per-mmute Bolt-on
sickle sections are even standard equipment
for quick, convenient section replacement
A five-bat, cam-actuated reel is another
standard feature that provides maximum
capacity In addition to ensuring uniform crop
feeding to the conditioner rolls, the additional
fifth bat allows the 42-inch (1 07 m) reel to
take smaller bites of heavy, high-density
crops If necessary you can still adjust reel
speed from 54 to 78 RPM for varying crop
types
