Rebecca is the daughter of Pam
and Douglas Kilgore, Airville R 2.
A third-grader at Clearview
Elementary School, she was a 4-H
Clover Bud dairy exhibitor last
year.
Michelle Walker is the daughter
of Brenda and Leroy Walker, New
Freedom Rl. She is a Friendship
Elementary School third-grader,
and exhibited a dairy calf as a 4-H
Clover Bud beginner last year.
The new first lady of York’s
dairy industry was crowned by
outgoing princess Angie Lang.
Just moments before placing the
glittering tiara on her successor,
Angie extended thanks to family,
friends and the county promotion

program were six former dairy
princesses, including Hope Han
ley Bradley, York’s first “dairy
queen,” selected in 1955. Also
attending were Carol Bair Smelt
zer, who reigned in 1958; Cindy
Rutter Johnson, 1976; Carol
Druck Tipton, 1979; Suzanne
Hash, 1987; and Susan Eisenhart
Wivell, 1988 and 1989.
Judges for the pageant were
Adrienne Kaercher, fitters; and
Duane and Donna Duncan, Ship
pensburg. Pageant entertainment
featured the Penn Villians, a
Hanover-area barbershop quartet.
Both Penny Jordan and Annie
Rauhauser will represent York
County at the state dairy princess
training seminar, to be held during
July. Penny will represent the
county at the state dairy princess
pageant in Harrisburg in late
September.

County, is the daughter of J. Loren
and Wanda Yoder. She is a fourth
semester student majoring in Dairy
and Animal Science. As an active
club member, Jaylene is ready to
help whenever needed. She was
also a member of the Ski Team at
the Altoona Campus before trans
ferring to University Park.
The 1991 Penn State Dairy
Sweetheart is Laura Kephart. Lau
ra is the eight-year-old daughter of
Ken and Trish Kephart of State
College, Centre County. As the
Dairy Sweetheart, Laura will assist
the Dairy Princess at various
promotional events throughout the
