plant varying seed sizes accurately soybeans (from
2,200 to 4,000 seeds per pound); milo/grain sorghum
(12,000-18,000 seeds per pound); with the same
meter and the appropriate seed disc. A precision meter
with one moving part. One that costs little to maintain.
One that eliminates the wasted overage and all the
extra adjustments of conventional mechanical meter
ing systems. One that doesn’t require all the pumps,
adjustments and maintenance of air and vacuum sys
tems. One that’s actually gentler on the seed than any
thing you’ve used before.
Meet the new KINZE® Brush-Type Seed Meter.
Designed specifically to handle a wide variety of
crops.
How does it work? Simply! It consists of a die-cast
aluminum housing and a system of brushes that fills
and gently retains individual seeds in a precision
molded seed disc with specially designed seed
pockets.
As the disc rotates vertically within the housing,
seeds gravitate toward the pedrimeter of the seed disc.
Individual seeds are then picked up by the molded
seed pocket and retained by the special brush system
until they reach a point immediately above the seed
tube where they are released and allowed to drop gent
ly into the seed trench.
The result? More accuracy and control than you
ever thought possible. Without all the adjustments.
