Princess Crowned
SYRACUSE, NY Jessica A.
Chittenden of Stephentown,
Rensselaer County, was crowned
New York State Dairy Princess on
Tuesday, February 19, during the
28th annual pageant at the Shera
ton Inn, Liverpool, New York.
During her year-long reign, she
will be a spokesperson for the
dairy industry through school
programs, public appearances,
media events, and other activities.
She will also receive a 51,200
scholarship to further her
education.
Danielle Hurlburt of Lowville,
Lewis County, was crowned first
Alternate Slate Dairy Princess.
She will receive a $7OO scholar
ship. Karen Pritchard of Rome,
Oneida County, was crowned sec
ond Alternate State Dairy Princess
and will receive a S6OO scholar
ship. Both young women will
assist Miss Chittenden in dehver-
