National Egg Market
Prices were unchanged. The market tone
was steady. Demand ***in all channels
•** was mixed across the full range, most
ly moderate. With the exception of white
egg shortages in New England, supplies in
all areas were balanced. Additional hold
ings were expected to be sufficient for the
upcoming holidays, and were maintained
with confidence. Breakers had adequate
shell eggs, and generally provided a light
demand for additional eggs.

was limited as bolh buyers and sellers were
cautious and generally adopted a wait and
see position. Raw materials were fully
adequate for the light interest. Breaking
schedules were often adjusted to aven
building unwanted inventories. Current
floor stocks were sufficient to handle pre
sent needs.
