    Patton Enticer Grand Angus Bull At
DENVER, Colo. This was
the most successful National
Western Stock Show ever for
American Breeders Service
(ABS). According to Keith Van
derVelde, ABS manager-beef
programs. ABS-sired offspring
and sires won many
championships.
The highlight of this year’s
show was Patton Enticer, an
Angus bull owned by ABS from
Steve Weaver, Illinois and Susan
Patton, Indiana, winning grand
champion bull at the Angus show.
“A Denver championship is as
good as it gets!” said Weaver.

Convention To Be Held
HAMBURG (BERKS CO.)
Ayrshire breeders from across the
slate are preparing for the second
annual Pennsylvania Ayrshire
Convention.
The activities will take place at
the Solanco Fairgrounds near
Quarryville, Lancaster County,
beginning Friday evening March
22 through Saturday afternoon
March 23.
A social beginning at 6 p.m. on
Friday will be followed by a ban
quet at 7 p.m.
The Annual spring Ayrshire
meeting will be called to order at
8:15 p.m. where several topics
will be addressed. Youth activities
will run concurrent with the meet
ing.
Saturday morning’s activities
begin at 9 o’clock with a Youth
First P.O.E. Round-Up followed
by a brunch.
