The market tone war barely steady to
weak on the lighter sizes, about steady but
cautious on the balance. Demand was
about moderate with an improved call
noted in areas of attractive retail promo
tions. Supplies were usually in good
balance and readily available for current
dealer needs. Breakers were generally
working according to needs and for the
most part had no difficulty in maintaining
desired schedules.
East PA & NJ
Poultry
Fowl markets appear to be steadier at
current lower levels. Inability to maintain
clearances of dressed product force most
processors to reduce slaughter schedules.
