READING (Berks Co.) — The 1990 Junior All-Pennsylvania show awards were presented to the winning junior members at the Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Convention, February 3, 1991 at the Sheraton Inn, Reading. There are 14 classes recognized in the Junior All-Pennsylvania Contest. It is a picture and placing contest with three judges evaluat ing and placing each class. Deanne Sparling, Towanda, received two Junior All- Pennsylvania awards while Justin Burdette, Mercersburg, and Dian ne Clock, Mifflin, each had an All-Pennsylvania and Reserve All-Pennsylvania winner. Some 34 other juniors received recogni tion in the Junior All- Pennsylvania Contest. It kind of gave us an advantage.” Senior teammember and Leba non County Dairy Princess Terry Hill, 18, said the win is “exciting.” Hill works full time on the 120-acre family dairy farm, milk ing the 55-cow herd evenings, feeding calves in morning and evening, and keeping the breeding records and registering calves.
