European Journalists Visit United States WASHINGTON D.C.—Nine central European environmental journalists visited Lancaster Coun ty on their way to California this week. The journalists want to study evnironmental reporting tech niques and management strategies in the United States through a two month fellowship program coordi nated by the National Safety Coun cil’s Environmental Health Center. Lamonte Garber, Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s agricultural spe cialist, said the visit to several Amish farms and several farms in the Quarryville area was very enlightening to the visitors. The journalists were very interested to see how farmers here are address ing environmental problems and what they saw here was very diffe rent For example, Bill Aaron, Quar ry ville, has a much larger dairy and poultry operation than any the European journalists had ever seen. While they may have collec tive farms, their farms are not near ly so large. Need Your Farm Buildings Painted? Let us give you a price!
