Stars Shine At FFA Convention HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) —The two Western region FFA stars won state star recogni tion at the 62nd convention of the Pennsylvania FFA Association. Edward Clark was named the 1991 State Star Fanner and Robert Hodge was named the 1991 State Star in Agribusiness. Both stars are members of the Mohawk FFA in Lawrence County. Clark is the son of Bruce and Nancy Clark. His SAE projects include: on the farm work of 1200 hours, a 14 head dairy herd and 85 acres of diversified crops. Evenrtually, Clark wants to own and operate a dairy farm in Pennsylvania. Hodge is the son of Ron and Eleanor Hodge. His SAE projects Hodge works at his father’s busi ness, HAMCO, a safemark dealer ship. In addition, Hodge works in retail sales at Dawson’s Orchards and docs land scape management and operates a retail feed store. With the help of a neighbor, Hodge started his own bird seed sales operation. He has sells over 20,000 pounds of bird seed a year under his own lable, Rob’s Feed and Supply. Hodge’s skills include ship activities, sales and marketing, computer operation and phone sales. He alributes his success to good record keeping and his advi sor who have helped him along the way. In ihc future, Hodge wants to lake a two ylear avionics course while continuing his sales and ser vice enterprise. He eventually wants to own his own electronics repair shop. r $ i .
