A horse-drawn carriage driven by Roger Thoms of Centre County will transport Gov. Robert P. Casey, Mrs. Ellen Casey, Secret ary of Agriculture Boyd E. Wolff and Mrs. Margaret Wolff into the Large Arena for the grand opening ceremony at 12: IS p.m. (Thoms of Centre Hall earned the honor at last year’s Farm Show by winning the horse-hitched team competition). Casey is to be greeted by 26 representatives of Pennsylvania’s agricultural associations. Exhibit halls open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow. The exhibition halls officially open to the general public at 1 p.m. Visitors can see thousands of ani mals on display, including beef and dairy cattle, hogs, horses, sheep, rabbits and poultry. Representatives of 250 com mercial and educational exhibits will be stationed at their booths to talk with Farm Show visitors about the newest products and equip ment. The judges will have assigned blue ribbons for hundreds of categories in the competitive farm and home exhibits for visitors to view as well. The Pennsylvania Food Court in the East Building will be the new gathering place for hungry Farm Show visitors. Nine commodity associations will serve their spe cialities in a larger and more acces sible area of the complex. Sunday is Family Day at the Farm Show and entertainment is high on the list of attractions. The Pennsylvania High School Rodeo Association will demons trate their maneuvers in the Large Arena beginning at 1:30 p.m. They will thrill the audience with team roping, saddle and bareback rid ing, bull riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, pole bending and bar rel racing. The Cumberland County 4-H Horse Club Drill Team will per form during the rodeo intermission. ■ High Efficiency Direct Drive Fans With Cast Aluminum Props Sheep judging and scheduled cooking demonstrations round out the day’s events, along with the selection of the supreme champion gilt and supreme champion sheep for meat breeds. The exhibit halls close at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the Farm Show is free, although there is a $2 per veh icle parking charge at the 60-acre complex in Harrisburg, just off Exit 23 of 1-81.
