At a recent 4-H competition in Washington 0.C., Brandi
Mikesell of Marion Center, Indiana County, and Jennifer
Welch of Berlin, Somerset County, were each recognized as
leading 4-H members In the nation.
As one of the top six 4-H members of the swine program,
Mikesell, daughter of Robert and Marlene Mikesell, received
a $l,OOO scholarship and an expense-paid trip to the Nation
al 4-H Congress In Chicago by Pfizer U.S. Animal Health
Operations, the National Pork Producers Council, and
Cooperating State Pork Producers Council.
As one of the top six members of the veterinary science
program, Welch, daughter of David and Connie Welch,
received a $1,500 scholarship and a paid trip to the National
4-H Congress in Chicago by Pltman-Moore, Inc.
