With four fireplaces in the house, Sue has fun decorating
the mantels for Christmas. Here she used part of a lace
tablecloth that had been damaged. She used greens and
fruits Interspersed among family pictures to give a holiday
flavor. The horn decoration was made by Bob Brlnser.

Teenage Stress
HONESDALE (Wayne Co.)
“Has Anybody Seen Phil” is the
title of a new video available at the
Wayne County Cooperative
Extension Office. This 30 minute
video is concerned with teen-age
stress - how to recognize it, how
parents and teachers may be con
tributing toward it and how to
effectively deal with it.
Videos are available for loan
from the extension office for one
week, free of charge. A deposit of
$5 is required, which is refunded
when the tape is returned in a
week. If tape is not returned when
due, an assessment of $1 per day
is charged.
The extension office is located
in the basement of the Wayne
County Courthouse, 925 Court
Street, Honesdale, PA.

Arthur was raised on a dairy
farm. Although he couldn’t afford
his own farm, he raised his family
near to his homestead so that his
children could enjoy helping their
grandparents on the farm.
Sue said, “I have happy memo
ries of gathering eggs, but I did not
like weeding.”
When Sue was 14, she read an
article about farm vacations. She.
insisted that was the only gift she
wanted for her birthday. After a
week at Swa-Nee Acres farm in

The contests are open to all
Pennsylvania residents except
those who have professional food
status or are affiliated with the
Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion
Program. To enter the chum-off,
contestants should print their
name, address, and telephone
number on an B 'A ”xll” piece of
paper. Then, attach a complete
copy of their recipe. The first eight
entries received will be selected to
compete in the contest.
To enter the calf dressing con
test, contestants should print the
team members names, and list a
contact address, telephone num
ber, and category on an 8/2 ”xll”
