The market tone was fully steady to firm Demand at all levels was moderate to very good, mostly good and best for featured cartoned eggs, and wholesale large graded and ungraded eggs. Offerings were mini mal and generally higher priced. Floor stocks were short to adequate, usually closely balanced. Breakers expressed a good demand for the limited shell egg offerings, and prices were higher. A large volume of specially packed dried egg mix was purchased for military distribution from December 1990 through March 1991.
