Panels on nitrate leaching losses from com fields, agricultural water quality, and wetland regulations brought home some of the con cerns farmers must learn to face. Presented by Richard H. Fox, Penn State Field Crop Production Systems, Dept, of Agronomy, the nitrate leaching panel emphasized some of the headway that the col lege has made in providing exact data on nitrate leaching. Fox touched upon some of the results of a special 1983 study by the League of Women Voters. Many of these new materials labeled for use in the mid-Atlantic region are outlined in Table 1.
