Milk Producers Association Names Administrative Manager GREEN," N.Y.— Cathryn Buck of Ska neateles, N.Y., was recently named admini strative manager of the Milk Producers Volun tary Agricultural Asso ciation in Greene, N.Y. This association was formed to improve and promote the economic conditions and products of persons engaged in agriculture in the Northeast. Membership in the association entitles far mers and agri businessmen to partici pate in many programs, including health cover age plans in the Milk Producers Health and Welfare Trust Fund. Various new prog rams to benefit associa tion members are expected to be imple mented in early 1991. Mrs. Buck recently served as the communi cations director of the Regional Cooperative Marketing Agency in Batavia, N.Y.; and she is currently working toward a degree in Engl ish education at Cort land State University. Mrs. Buck received her bachelor of sciences degree in communica tions from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell Uni versity in May 1988. She and her husband own a 60-head beef herd in Skaneateles. Although she is cur rently employed part time by the Milk pro ducers Voluntary Agri cultural Association, Mrs. Buck is to begin her full-time position January 1. Prior to that, Mrs. Buck will continue schooling and do her practice teaching in Moravia, N.Y. and meeting on October 20 at the Thomasville Fire Hall. Three directors were elected to the York Holstein board of direc tors for three-year terms. New directors are Troy Zirkle, Man chester, Frank Feeser, Hanover, and Roy Thompson, East Berlin. Directors completing three-year terms of office were Dale Furh man, Hanover, Ron Fetrow, York, and Jed Beshore, New Cumberland. State director, Jed Beshore reported an increase in state asso ciation dues for 1991, with a herd fee of $25 plus 65-cents per milk ing cow.
