    Holsteins and half Jerseys In their herd. The farm is owned by Samle and
Christine Wilcox and has been in the family since 1936. Their milk is
shipped into New York City in the fluid milk market, but they do get a protein
bonus because of their Jersey cows. The Wilcox children are Samantha 12
and Christie, 10.

The partnership of Richard Klinger and sons Anthony and Jackson
have about 240 acers of tillable land near Winfield. Richard's great
grandfather purchased the Locust Row Farm in the early 1900's. The
boys make the sth generation of Klingers on the farm. They milk 70 head
of registered Holstelns and have another 70 head of young stock. The
herd average Is over 20,000 lbs. of milk and 800 lbs. of butterfat.
