The center incorpo rates about 118 stalls. The Widener Hospital includes modem diagnostic and treatment units, three surgery suites, and treatment rooms for horses and food-producing animals. Five hos pital bams accommodate patients, and a separate, specially equipped bam houses animals with infec tious diseases. The new Connelly Intensive Care Unit has been designed for critically ill animals. Patients are transported by monorail between the Kline Center operating room and recovery pool into the stalls in the ICU.
