    Adams County Introduces Contestants For
Four dairy princess contestants
and seven little dairy Miss contes
tants will compete for the Adams
County titles on June 9, 8 p.m. at
the Biglerville High School.
Dairy princess contestants
include Christine Todt, Susan
Murren, Jayne Hess, and Danielle
Smith.
Christine Todt is the 20 year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Todt. While in high school, Christ
ine was a member of the National
Honor Society and FBLA where
she held offices as treasurer and
reporter. Christine was an active

Susan Murren is the 21-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs/ Thomas
Murren. She was an active 8-year

Presently, she is a volunteer for the
Brushtown Fire Company and is
employed by Pat Lowe’s of
Hanover. Susan was also first
runner-up in the 1989 Adams
County Dairy Princess pageant.
Jayne Hess is the 16-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Hess. Jayne is a junior at New

Oxford High School where she is
active in field hockey, track, band,
chorus, and FFA. Recently, Jayne
was elected president of the
Adams County 4-H dairy club. She
is also a member of New Oxford
Community 4-H Club and the
Adams County 4-H Senate.
Danielle Smith is the 17-year
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Smith. She is a junior at
Bermudian Springs High School
where she is active in band and
chorus. Danielle is also active in
the Adams County 4-H dairy club.
She has been secretary, has given
dairy demonstrations at 4-H State
Days, and has shown cattle at vari
ous shows. She is a member of
York Springs Community 4-H
Club where she has been secretary
and vice president. Danielle works
parttime at the Land of Little
Horses, Gettysburg.
This is the first year for the Little
Dairy Miss pageant The contes
tants include Amanda Leer, 4,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel
Leer of York Springs; Nicole and
Megan Scott, S, twin daughters of
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Scott of
Gardners; Kimberly Johnston, 5,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Johnston of Gettysburg; Tiffany
Holtzinger, 6, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Larry Holtzinger of East Ber
lin; Erin Deputy, 4, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Deputy of East
Berlin; and Susannah Moss,
daughter of Phyllis Moss and Guy
Sprague.
