Movement of ready to cook whole fryers
was fair. Supplies were irregular and
ranged adequate to ample with the extra
product being offered at competitive
prices and slow to clear. Less than trucklot
asking prices were lower at 55-64 cents.
Live supplies were adequate. Average live
weights ranged desirable to heavy. Pro
cessing schedules were heavy. The trade
sentiment was barely steady at best. In the
parts complex, supplies of wings wee in
close balance, all other items were irregu
larly distributed and ranged adequate to
ample.

The market tone was usually fully
steady to insUnces firm. Movement was
moderate to good as pipelines were sull
being filled in most locations. Supplies
were in close balance, especially on the
heavier sizes. Additional offerings were
irregularly available and in some instances
difficult to locate. Breaker activity was
usually on the light side as several were
temporarily out of the market working
existing inventories to maintain desired
schedules.

Frozen Egg
Report
Friday, May 25, 1990
Prices were unchanged to higher. Trad
ers were cautious as costs continued to rise
and most adopted a wait and see position as
they closely watched for further market
developments. Several breakers chose to
work abbreviated holiday schedules next
week and were selective in any additional
purchases of confidently held raw mater
ials. Floor stocks were usually in good
balance with current dealer needs.
