Between Chambersburg and Gettysburg, PA.
Located on PA Route 30.
Formerly owned by Jean Stapleton Putch and the
late William Putch. Consisting of a completely
equipped restaurant in an 1892 refurbished dining
car, two 1910 wooden cabooses and a railroad sta
tion house patterned after a station in Big Rapids,
Michigan. For the railroad enthusiast, the dining car
coach 0157 was built in 1892 by Jackson & Sharp
of Baltimore, which was later absorbed by the Pull
man Company. This particular car was in active
service on branch runs in Northern Maine for the
Otter Valley Railroad. The two wooden cabooses
were built by the Bangor & Aroostok Railroad at
their main shops in Derby, Maine, using native
materials. Train cars and station will be offered first
with a reserve. Contents of cars sold separately.
Station house will be sold and must be moved.
Possibility exists of negotiating state lease under
terms acceptable to the state.
Restaurant equipment; 43 green crushed velvet
dining chairs, 14 wrought iron pedestal tables, wait
ress station, fine silverware, glassware, china. No.
1 Caboose- double door s.s. refrigerator, 1500 lb.
ice machine, Hobart dishwasher, racks, pots, pans,
other cooking utensils, substantial electrical panel
with breakers. No. 2 Kitchen caboose- six burner
Vulcan stove with grill, broiler, D-oven, Hobart
M3IOT microwave oven, sandwich units, s.s.
tables, s.s. double door refrigerator, s.s. double
door freezer, Hobart 512 slicer, s.s. tables various

Train station- complete bar with etched mirrors,
