Progression forging builds extra strength into hook-and-eye- link contact points. Final heat treating increases hardness, strength and wear resistance. • Four-tooth sprocket drives every link behind the hook the link's thickest and strongest point. • Chain flexibility for various layouts. • Select 2" flites for solid manure or 4" high flites for slurry manure, flites are welded to Patz links. Vi-inch-thick wear shoes extend Hite life. • Three drive unit sizes match your gutter length and allow expansion. • Corner wheel top-and-bottom flanges guide the chain around the corner. Corner wheel assemblies remove easily for service without concrete breakout. • Heavier XH link available for extremely long pulls. The 1990 Maryland tobacco auction season will begin April 3 and will last over a four-week season, clos ing on April 26. according to Maryland Secretary of Agricul ture Wayne A. Cawley, Jr. His announcement follows recommendations of the State Tobacco Authority, which prop osed the sales dates after consult ing with tobacco buyers, ware housemen, and growers. The 1990 sales will be held on 14 days, as follows: April 3-S for the first week, April 9-12 the sec ond week, April 17-19 the third week, and April 23-26 for the final week. Sales will be held at the six public tobacco warehouses located at Wayson’s Comer, Wal dorf, Upper Marlboro, and Hughesville. The 1989 Maryland crop, which was grown on an estimated 8,500 acres will be sold. Growing conditions were difficult because of heavy rains during much of the season, which often prevented planting and washed out plants. The Maryland Department of Agriculture’s marketing services will provide daily sales reports during the season over its ‘Tobac co Report” toll-free (in Maryland) telephone line. Those interested in following the market can access the report after 8:30 a.m. each day by calling 1-800-638-2207.
