judges liked their senior winner
well enough to award him the title
of grand champion bull. LLB
Gambler 22W won this honor
from among the 84 Angus bulls
displayed. April 1987 SCR Lone
Star 411 son tipped the scales at
2,730 pounds, had a 9.6 frame
score, 0.48 backfat, and a scrotal
circumference of 44.5 cm. He is
owned by Lee Brown, Erskine,
Alberta, Canada and Whitestone
& Krebs, Gordon, Nebraska.
An April 1988 son of Premier
Top Gun stood in the limelight as
Elmdales Top Flight 428 captured
the reserve grand champion bull
banner. Also named the junior
champ, he is owned by Gary Eik-
meier of Pipestone, Minnesota.
Top Flight weighed 2,104 pounds,
had a 8.7 frame score, 0.40 back
fat, and had a scrotal circumfer
ence of 45.6 cm.
Magnum Unique 2 is batting a
1,000 in the show ring. She went
up against 163 other competitors
in the female show and came out,
once again, the grand champion.
The May 1988 daughter of S C R
Lone Star 411 is owned by Ty
Krebs of Gordon, Nebraska;
Goshen Farm of Paris, Kentucky;
and Irish Oaks Farm of Metamora,
Michigan. Judges Maurer and
McKnight earlier awarded her the
intermediate title. She weighed
1,630 pounds, had a 9.1 frame
score, and 0.32 backfat.
